  Romaine J. Geiger, 88, of Myerstown, Pa., died Monday, July 28, 2008, at her 
  residence. She was the wife of Robert W. Geiger Sr. for 66 years. Born in 
  Palmyra, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Naomi E. Lentz 
  Gingrich. Prior to her husband's retirement from the military, she was a civil 
  service employee in various states and Japan. She was employed by the Farmers 
  Trust Co., Lebanon, and was assistant secretary when she retired in 1982. A 
  member of Mary Gate of Heaven Parish, she served as one of the organists and 
  sang in the choir. She was a member of the Lebanon American Legion Auxiliary, 
  Unit 158; AARP; Myerstown Senior Citizens; and the Myerstown VFW Auxiliary 
  6076, where she had served as secretary. She also enjoyed traveling. Surviving 
  in addition to her husband are two sons, the Reverend Damon Geiger, O.SS.T., of 
  Houston, Texas, and Charles R., husband of Yvonne L. Geiger of Lebanon, Pa.; 
  granddaughter M. Jeanne Geiger of Hayward, Calif.; and grandson Robert V. 
  Geiger of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister Janet M. Albright of Lebanon; sisters-in-law 
  Anna M. Gingrich and Grace Byers; seven nephews; and three nieces. She was 
  preceded in death by brothers Harold W., Robert S., and Gilbert A. Gingrich. 
  Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 11 a.m. from Mary Gate of Heaven Church, 
  188 W. McKinley Ave., Myerstown. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. 
  Viewing hours Wednesday evening from 6-8 with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 
  p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon, Pa., and 
  Thursday morning 10-11 at the church.
