Gibble, 98, formerly of Lititz passed away on October 15, 2008, at St. Anne's Retirement Community. Born in Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Cora Wenger Smith, and wife of the late Isaac G. Gibble. Helen was a member of Lititz Church of the Brethren and the Alexander Mack Sunday School Class. She also taught Sunday school classes at the church, and bible classes at Lancashire Terrace. Helen, along with Isaac, was a house parent at the Milton Hershey School. She was a graduate of Millersville State College, and was a school teacher in the Cornwall, Warwick and Manheim school districts, teaching from the 1930s to 1975. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She is survived by a daughter, Bonita L. Reed of Lancaster; two grandchildren; stepdaughter Arlene H. Boyer of Lebanon; four step-grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Barnett of Temple. Funeral services will be held on October 20, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 W. Orange St., Lititz. There will be a viewing on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Richard H. Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz, and from 10 to 11a.m. on Monday at the church. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation, Suite A100, 630 Janet Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601. Burial will be in Mastersonville Cemetery.
