  George D. Gibson, 86, of the E.C.C.Retirement Village, Myerstown, and formerly 
  of Palmyra, passed away on Friday November 14, 2008 at the home. He was the 
  husband of Anna E. Barnhart Gibson and on June12th, they celebrated their 62nd 
  wedding anniversary. Born in Raphine, VA on October 10, 1922, he was the son of 
  the late Clarence and Ressie Lawhorn Gibson. He retired from PA Truck Line 
  where he had been a truck driver. He was a US Army veteran of WW II, and a 
  member of the Annville American Legion, Annville VFW, Travel Timers Camping 
  Club, Outdoor World, the Teamsters Truckers Union # 776, and a lifetime member 
  of the Lebanon Senior Center. He was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed playing 
  pool and making crafts. He made over 100 Macrame chairs. In addition to his 
  wife he is survived by sons William husband of Rose Gibson, Jay Gibson, Brian 
  Gibson and Philip husband of Cindy Gibson; daughters Carol wife of Lester 
  Crider, Ruth wife of Tom Dean, Martha wife of George Fisher, Debra wife of 
  Terry Rhoads and Susan wife of Elton Hill; brothers Earl, Wilmer, Larry and 
  Willard Gibson; seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He 
  was preceded in death by his grandsons Jeffrey Gibson and James Fox. Funeral 
  services will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kreamer 
  Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Viewing will be one 
  hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, N. 
  Annville Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 
  Parkinson's Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
