  Girard, M. Joan   
   
  M. Joan Girard, 74, of Fredericksburg, Pa., died November 29th in Hershey 
  Medical Center at 3:45 a.m. She was the wife of Donald R. Girard. Born in 
  Pottstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lorin Buckwalter and Rhea 
  (Hallman). Mrs. Girard was a graduate of North Coventry High School and Chester 
  County School of Nursing. She was last employed for Wernersville State Hospital 
  as a R.N. and supervisor for over 20 years, until she retired. She had been 
  employed in various hospitals over her career, including U.S. Naval Hospital of 
  San Diego, Calif., and Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Surviving in addition 
  to her husband are one son, Steven A., husband of Margaret Girard of Lebanon, 
  Pa.; two sisters, Lori Buckwalter of Washington state, Barbara A. Buckwalter of 
  United Kingdom; three step-grandchildren; seven step-greatgrandchildren. 
  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Houck & Gofus 
  Funeral Home Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown. Relatives and friends will 
  be received from noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in 
  Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford.
