Miller shabodeho@aol.com December 19, 2008, 6:21 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 12/6/2008 Good, Mary Ella Mary Ella Good, 67, of Newmanstown, was stricken ill at home on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival. She was born in Ephrata Township, a daughter of the late Norman B. and Mable Kurtz Martin. She was the wife of Harry H. Good. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary Nov. 12. She was a homemaker and a member of Springville Mennonite Church, Ephrata, of the Weaverland Conference. Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Galen, husband of Elaine Nolt Good and Clifford, husband of Lucille Zimmerman Good, both of Lebanon; Dale, husband of Anna Mary Good Good and Merle, husband of Audrey Hurst Good, both of Newmanstown; three daughters, Darlene, wife of Carl Eberly of Sinking Spring; Sandra, wife of Jason Brubaker of Newmanstown; and Janelle, wife of Merlin Litzenberger of Lebanon; 33 grandchildren and one great- granddaughter; five sisters, Alta, wife of Loyd Sensenig of Ephrata; Clara, wife of Donald Stoner of Landisville; Dorothy, wife of John Hoover of Blain; Arlene, wife of Marlin Hurst of Robesonia; and Kathryn, wife of Lawrence Good of Womelsdorf; and three brothers, Clarence, husband of Kathryn Martin, and Carl, husband of Sandy Martin, both of Ephrata; and Raymond, husband of Sally Martin of Jonestown. She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Mae Burkholder and brothers Ellis and Lloyd Martin. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8 at the Fairview Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon, and the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 9 a.m. from the late residence, 550 Stricklerstown Road, Newmanstown, with further services at 9:30 a.m. at the Springville Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishop Lester B. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Please omit flowers. Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
