  Ethel M. Groy, 80, of Carlisle died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at her home. 
  Born August 2, 1928, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Armand and Katherine 
  Null Long, and the widow of James Groy. Mrs. Groy was a 1946 graduate of Lebanon 
  High School, and a 1975 graduate from Carlisle Hospital School of Practical 
  Nursing as an LPN. Ethel retired as an LPN from the Carlisle Hospital, after 20 
  years of service, and later was a hospice volunteer. She was a 'snow bird,' and 
  loved to travel to Florida and go on cruises. Surviving are a daughter, Susan 
  J. Walker, and her significant other, Paul Mowers of Carlisle; a brother, 
  Robert Long, and his wife Maggie of Newport; a sister, Doris Reichard, and her 
  husband, Clarence of Lebanon; a grandchild, Amy Jo Shank of Martinsburg, W.Va.; 
  and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. 
  Monday, October 13, 2008, in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 
  6 - 8 p.m. Sunday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. 
  Hanover St., Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer 
  Society, 3211 North Front St., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
