  Hambright, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Eckert)    
   
   
  Elizabeth "Betsy" Eckert Hambright, age 76, of 316 Layafette Ave., Mt. Gretna, 
  Pa., passed away at Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon on Sunday, July 6, 2008. Born 
  in Lebanon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Nancy Kreider 
  Eckert. She and her husband, John W. Hambright, celebrated their 55th wedding 
  anniversary on Feb. 14th. Elizabeth was a graduate of Baldwin High School for 
  Girls, Bryn Maw, Pa., in the 1950s, and received a master's degree in education 
  from Millersville University. She retired in 1991, following 27 years, from the 
  Manheim Township School District, where she was employed as a fifth grade 
  teacher. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Elizabeth was a past 
  president of Mt. Gretna Chautauqua Auxiliary, past secretary of Mt. Gretna 
  Chautauqua Board of Managers, a member of Hershey Chorus, and her church choir. 
  She enjoyed singing. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Lynn 
  E. Hambright of Chester Springs, Pa. A son, John S. Hambright, preceded her in 
  death. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Elizabeth's 
  Life Celebration Memorial Service at the funeral home of Fred F. Groff Inc., 
  234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, Pa., on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. 
  Roger A. Bucy officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will 
  receive friends at Groff's on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
