  Shirley A. Hamilton, 76, died Sunday, August 24, 2008, in the Community General 
  Osteopathic Hospital. She was a resident of the Colonial Park Care Center. She 
  was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on January 7, 1932, to Victor N. and Elizabeth 
  Foreman Hamilton. She is the last of her family. She retired after 18 years 
  from Nationwide Insurance, working as a credit analyst in Harrisburg. She also 
  was employed as an associate cashier at Giant Foods in Hershey. She enjoyed 
  caring for indoor plants. She was of the Catholic faith. A committal service 
  will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 4 p.m. at the Gravel Hill 
  Cemetery, Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to 
  the Humane Society of Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111. 
  Rothermel Funeral Home Inc. is entrusted with cremation arrangements.
