  Hartz, Virginia Herwegh   
   
  Virginia Herwegh Hartz, age 81, died Monday, December 22, 2008, in Spang Crest 
  Manor, Lebanon. She and her husband, Jay W. Hartz, resided at 333 S. Green St., 
  Palmyra. She was born on August 29, 1927, in Philadelphia to Lorenz and Anetta 
  Brandt Herwegh. She retired as executive director of personnel for the WA WA 
  Corporation in Philadelphia. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Lebanon 
  and Hummelstown, the Mohler Senior Center and New Neighbors of Hershey. She and 
  her husband enjoyed ballroom dancing. Surviving is her husband, Jay. A sister, 
  Evelyn Herwegh, precedes her in death. Relatives and friends are invited for a 
  time of viewing on Monday, December 29, 2008, from 10-11 at the Rothermel 
  Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, followed by her funeral service 
  with the Rev. Barry Kendall officiating. A private committal service will be 
  held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In 
  lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the charity of one's 
  choice.
