Heller, 96, formerly of 2001 Hill Street, Woodland Estates, and Spang Crest Manor Assisted Living, entered eternal life on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born March 19, 1912, and graduated from Fredericksburg High School, Class of 1930. She was the oldest continuing member of the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, and was an active member in the Sunday school, bible school and King's Daughters. During most of her senior years and into her late 80s, she was an active quilter with the church. For 24 years, Lucille Heller was also an active member of Gideon International and the Ladies Auxiliary of Gideon International. She was the daughter of the late William and Nora Smith of Fredericksburg and, for 56 years, the devoted wife and partner of the late Marlan J. Heller. She and Marlan were members of the Hershey Antique Auto Club and the Pine Grove Auto Club. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three daughters, Eileen, wife of Ronald Smith of Harrisburg, Gail, wife of John Wilds of Lebanon, and Lorna, wife of John Everhart of Fanwood, New Jersey. She is the grandmother of Kurt Smith and wife Pamela, Deanna Smith Hobbs, wife of Timothy, Lisa Wilds Kelly, wife of Shawn, Jessica Wilds, Janna Everhart Spranza, wife of Jeffrey, and Brian Everhart and wife Michelle. She is also the cherished greatgrandmother of nine children. Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. with an hour prior visitation at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 4160 Shirksville Road, Fredericksburg. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Memorial contributions can be made to her church or LutherCare Assisted Living at Spang Crest Manor, 945 Duke Street, Lebanon PA 17042.
