  Benjamin J. Hess LEBANON Benjamin J. Hess, 30, Lebanon, died suddenly in his 
  residence on Thursday, February 28, 2008. His name means "son of my right 
  hand;" the hand of God hath touched me." Job 19:21. He was the son of Randy S. 
  Hess of Hershey and Shelli L. Lafferty of Lebanon. He was born in Lebanon on 
  January 8, 1978. He was a graduate of Northern Lebanon High School and had been 
  a chef for various restaurants in the local area. He loved to write poetry and 
  was an avid reader and sports fan, having cheered for the Eagles. He loved 
  music and had a passion for composing rap music. He had played ice hockey as a 
  goalie for many teams, including the Lancaster Firebirds, Hershey Jr. Bears and 
  the Holy Name Jets. He loved his surviving brother Wyatt more than anything 
  else in the world. In addition to his parents and brother, he is survived by a 
  grandmother, Helene Hess of Palmyra; stepmother, Margaret Hess of Hershey; 
  stepbrother, Gerrity King; and stepsister, Gwendolyn King; aunt, Sherri, wife 
  of Edward Reilly; uncles, Marc and wife Annette Hess, Eric and wife Kathy Hess, 
  Gary and wife Arlene Hess. He is also survived by nieces and nephews who loved 
  him dearly, and he will be sadly missed by his cousins and many other friends. 
  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lewis Hess, Robert Lafferty and Dawn 
  Lafferty. Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, March 2, 2008, in the 
  Beth Israel Cemetery, Lebanon. Rabbi Paula Reimers, spiritual leader of the 
  Beth Israel Synagogue, officiated
