  Isabel M. Hoffman PALMYRA Isabel M. (Bemesderfer) Hoffman, 97, died Friday, 
  April 11, 2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. She was a resident 
  of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra. She was the wife of the late 
  Sterling E. Hoffman Sr. She was born on October 14, 1910, to Victor E. and 
  Valeria Rudy Bemesderfer in Lebanon, Pa. She retired after 17 years from the 
  wrapping department of the Hershey Chocolate Company. She was a former member 
  of the Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Middletown, and a member of the Palm 
  Lutheran Church of Palmyra. Surviving are her son, the Rev. Jack R. Hoffman and 
  his wife Jean of Hanover; a daughter, Daisy Leiss and her husband Charles of 
  Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; sisters Luella Starry of 
  Annville and Mary Donley of Lebanon. A son, Sterling E. Hoffman Jr.; sisters 
  Helen Heilman, Pearl Mease, Julia Habecker; and a brother, Roger Bemesderfer, 
  precedes her in death. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of 
  visitation on Thursday, April 17, 2008, from 9:30-10:30 at the Rothermel 
  Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, followed by her funeral service 
  with the Rev. Dr. John Merkel officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. 
  Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in 
  her memory to the Good Samaritan Fund of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 
  Grubb Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
