  Verna Heisey Hoffmaster, 92, died May 16, 2008 at Dock Community, Lansdale, 
  where she resided the last 17 years. She was preceded in death by her husband 
  of 68 years, Lester E. Hoffmaster, a daughter Sandra Fay and a great-grandson. 
  She grew up in Lebanon County and lived in Lancaster County and Norristown. She 
  graduated from South Lebanon High School and Millersville University. She 
  taught elementary education in Lebanon, Cocalico Union and Norristown School 
  Districts. Verna is survived by children: Connie Place (David); David 
  Hoffmaster (Mary Lou); Linda Miller (Mervyl); James Hoffmaster (Karen); Nancy 
  Hamill (William Jr.) and Janet Ikoniak (Joseph); 18 grandchildren, 17 great 
  grandchildren and 2 sisters-in-law, Esther and Hilda Heisey. She was preceded 
  in death by her 4 brothes and 3 sisters. Verna was an avid quilter donating 
  many quilts to charity and family members. A memorial service will be held at 
  Dock Woods Community Chapel, Woods Drive, Towamencin, Friday, May 23 at 10 AM, 
  followed immediately by private interment at Midway Church of the Brethren 
  Cemetery in Lebanon Co. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Ambler 
  Church of the Brethren, 351 E. Butler Ave., Ambler, PA 19002. Arrangements are 
  with Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
