Miller shabodeho@aol.com August 23, 2008, 11:05 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 8/9/2008 Holley, Reba Benner Reba Benner Holley, 83, died Friday, August 8, 2008, in the Golden Living Blue Ridge Mountain Nursing facility in Harrisburg. She was the wife of the late Marlin A. Holley, who died September 17, 2008. She was born in Thompsontown, Pa., on September 9, 1924, to Samuel and Mary Adams Benner. She retired from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center from the clinical lab department. She also worked in the kitchen of the hospital. Prior to that, she was employed as a cook for the Snavely's Memorial Rest Home in Hummelstown. She was a member of the Fishburn United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, Samuel D., husband of Patty Holley, and Thomas M., husband of Renee Holley, both of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; a sister, Evelyn Davis of Thompsontown; and brothers Samuel Benner Jr. of Mifflintown and Wilbur Benner of Green Castle. Her sisters Lillian Fogelman and Luella Phillips and brothers Miles and Melvin Benner preceded her in death. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of viewing on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, from 10-11 a.m. at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, followed by her funeral service with the Rev. Douglas Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memorial Park.
