  Martin M. Hoover, age 66, of Myerstown, Pa., passed away peacefully Friday, 
  September 5, 2008, at his home after a 10-month battle with cancer. Born 
  November 25, 1941, in New Holland, Earl Township, he was the son of the late 
  Aaron M. and Elizabeth (Martin) Hoover. He was the husband of Ella Mae 
  (Sensenig) Hoover. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Martin 
  Lee, husband of Carolyn (Zimmerman) Hoover of Lebanon; three daughters, Jane 
  M., wife of Darrel Haldeman of Camden, Ind., Lois J., wife of Eugene Fox of 
  Lebanon, and Joan E., wife of Daryl Martin of Moravia, N.Y.; 22 grandchildren; 
  and three sisters, Anna Huber of New Holland, Elizabeth, wife of Norman Hahn of 
  East Earl, and Alta, wife of Samuel Hahn of Terre Hill. He was preceded in 
  death by four grandchildren; his brother, Phares, husband of Etta Hoover; his 
  sister, Mary, wife of Paul Weaver; and his stepmother, Emma, wife of John 
  Horning. Martin was selfemployed as a furniture maker, and he was a member of 
  the Bernville Mennonite Church. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 
  2008, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., and funeral services will be on Wednesday, 
  September 10, 2008, at 10 a.m., both at the Bernville Mennonite Church, 7 Henne 
  Drive, Bernville, Pa. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of 
  flowers, contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 Brown 
  St., Suite 23, Middletown, PA 17057. Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 
  Jonestown, is in charge of the arrangements.
