  Kane, Fern Richard   
   
  Fern Richard Kane, 86 years old, of 125 N. Forge Road, Palmyra, died Wednesday, 
  October 15, 2008, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of the 
  late Helen L. (Yetter) Kane, who died August 28, 1993. He was born on September 
  5, 1922, in McVeytown, Pa., to Merle S. and W. Fay Gearhart Kane. He retired 
  from the former Kraft Foods in Palmyra, where he was employed as a foreman. He 
  was a member of the Lebanon Valley Bible Church. Surviving are his daughters, 
  Sherry K., wife of Larry Kelley and Cathy K. Bucher, both of Palmyra; his 
  companion, Evelyn Skinner of Hummelstown; six grandchildren; and nine great-
  grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Rosensteel of Mt. Union, Pa.; and a brother, 
  Elwood Kane of Meade, Kansas. One sister and one brother preceded him in death. 
  Relatives and friends are invited for a time of viewing on Sunday, October 19, 
  2008, from 6-8 p.m., and on Monday, October 20, 2008, from 9-10 a.m., followed 
  by his funeral service at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., 
  Palmyra. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, 
  memorial contributions may be given to the Lebanon Valley Bible Church, 1482 
  Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon, PA 17042.
