  Steven P. Karinch LEBANON Steven P. Karinch, 88, of 104 Lackawanna Drive, 
  Lebanon, Cornwall Boro, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at the Lebanon VA 
  Medical Center. He was the husband of the late of Betty J. Kreider Karinch. 
  Born in Cornwall, Pa., on January 21, 1919, he was the son of the late 
  Maximilian and Lucy Drogan Karinch. He was the founder and owner of Karinch 
  Beer Distributor in Lebanon from 1954-1989. He was a member of the Richland 
  Legion, the Elks, the Knights of Columbus, the Navy Club, the Rescue Fire Co., 
  the Maennorchor Club, and was a life member of the Lebanon VFW and the Rexmont 
  Fire Co. He was a 1937 graduate of Cornwall High, and a 1941 graduate and avid 
  fan of Penn State University where he played soccer. He enjoyed traveling to 
  all home and away football games for 58 years. He was an honorary coach, a 
  member of the Nittany Lion Club and a life time member of the Penn State Alumni 
  Association. He was a second lieutenant in U.S. Army, 11th Airborne Division, 
  during World War II that was stationed in the pacific. He was a member of 
  Sacred Heart Church, Cornwall, and enjoyed gardening and traveling. Surviving 
  are seven children, Stephen P. Karinch Jr. of Clearwater, Fla., Ralph, husband 
  of Sharon Karinch of Cornwall, John, husband of Debra Karinch of Cornwall, 
  Patricia Savant of Glenmore, Pa., Elizabeth, wife of Walter Dengler of Palmyra, 
  Maxine, wife of Neil Graby of Cornwall, and Suzanne Miller of Rexmont; 20 
  grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one 
  brother, Frank Karinch of Cornwall; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in 
  death by a son, Joseph Karinch; four sisters, Lovella Snell, Ann Grabusky, 
  Louise Beachler, and Mary Karinch; four brothers, Joseph, Matthew, John, and 
  Karl Karinch; sonin-law, Louis Savant. Funeral services Monday at 11 a.m. from 
  Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon. Interment at Holy Savior 
  Catholic Cemetery, Cornwall. Viewing hours Monday morning 9-11 at the funeral 
  home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon VA 
  Hospice, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
