  Mildred G. Kirst FREDRICKSBURG Mildred G. Kirst, 99, of Spang Crest Manor, and 
  formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2008, at Spang 
  Crest. She was the wife of the late George P. Kirst. Born in Salunga on 
  December 29, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Emma Gish 
  Hiestand. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Road Church of the Brethren, and had 
  retired from Verl's Salads. She is survived by her son Roger H. and his wife 
  Fern Kirst of Fredericksburg; a daughter Miriam E. Kunkle of Jonestown; four 
  grandchildren, Scott and Michael Kunkle, Christopher Kirst and Roxanne Molnar; 
  and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Raymond, 
  John, Irvin and Howard Hiestand; and sisters Elizabeth Miller, Emma Bashore, 
  Mary Endicott and Martha Hiler. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 
  February 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Road Church of the Brethren. 
  Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Cedar 
  Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may 
  be made to her Church Building Fund, at 2087 Mt. Zion Road, Lebanon, PA 17046. 
  Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown, is in charge of the 
  arrangements.
