Klopp, 93, formerly of Richland died peacefully on April 20, 12:35 a.m. in her home at 41 Woodland Estates, Lebanon. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Stewart M. Klopp, who preceded her in death in 2001. Born in Millbach, Pennsylvania, Cordelia was the daughter of Susan (Edris) and Charles Ziegler. She spent most of her life in the Richland area attending school in Millbach and Richland. In November 1942, Cordelia married Stewart Klopp, a native of Richland, in a wedding ceremony in West Palm Beach, Florida, where Mr. Klopp was stationed during World War II. During this time, Cordelia was employed by the Palm Beach County Tax Department, and she also managed an apartment complex in the area. Following the war, she and her husband returned to Richland, where they lived for many years. Throughout her life, Cordelia was an active member of her church family, first in her native Church of the Brethren and later in the Grace United Church of Christ, both in Richland. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and volunteered in numerous capacities. She was also involved in the Richland community, participating in cub scouting and activities supporting the library and the Elco schools. Cordelia moved to Lebanon in 1998. While in Lebanon, she was a volunteer at The Good Samaritan Hospital. She also enjoyed swimming at the YMCA and her wonderful friends at Woodland Estates. She will always be remembered for her kindness, gracefulness and generosity of spirit. This was combined with a lively sense of humor enjoyed by everyone. She loved and appreciated all of her dear friends and family and the wonderful people who helped care for her. Cordelia is survived by her son Philip, husband of Linda Klopp of Easton; daughter Marilyn, wife of Dr. Ronald Boogaard of Lebanon; and grandchildren Kathryn and Peter Boogaard, both of New York City, New York. She is also survived by sisters Mary Moody of California, Grace Morgan of Reading, Rachel Hampsey of Bethlehem, and Reba Anspach of Royersford. She was preceded in death by sisters Esther Wenger, Naomi Fake, Amy Brown; and a brother, Ray Ziegler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Grace United Church of Christ, 22 Church St., Richland. Visitation from 10-11 a.m. Internment will be in the Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Cancer Care Center or the Richland Grace United Church of Christ.
