  Kosik, Myrtle Tropasso "Mert"    
   
   
  Myrtle (Mert) TropassoKosik, 65, of Jonestown passed away on Thursday, July 17, 
  2008, at Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Robert Kosik, and the late 
  Clair Reed and Joseph Tropasso. Born in Harrisburg on December 23, 1942, she 
  was the daughter of the late George C. and Clara E. Ettien Motter. She was a 
  CNA, employed at Countryside Christian Community home for the last 12 years. 
  She attended William Penn High School in Harrisburg, and received a degree in 
  Certified Nursing Assistant at United Christian Church School. Myrtle was a 
  sweet, loving person, who never had a bad word to say about anybody. She loved 
  her family, and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, 
  sister and friend. She could walk up to stranger and make a friend by giving a 
  kind word. She always had a smile on her face. She worked hard and loved her 
  job. Her fried chicken and homemade chicken pot pie will be missed by all. She 
  was a loving, kind person who would never say no to anyone. She enjoyed many 
  hobbies, such as ceramics, reading Harlequin Romance novels, coloring books, 
  and dining out. She enjoyed NASCAR, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. She 
  also enjoyed listening to country western music, especially Charlie Pride and 
  Alan Jackson. She loved her dog, Maggie, and all animals. Surviving in addition 
  to her husband are four children, Kenneth C., husband of Tracy Reed of 
  Honeybrook, Melvin E. Reed and his companion, Melissa of Lebanon, Connie L., 
  wife of Stephen P. Thompson of Lebanon, and Dodie L. Dreer of Lebanon; 15 
  grandchildren, Joseph Reed and fianc"e Laura, Kimberly Reed and fianc" Aaron, 
  Kristy and Jeffrey Reed, Shane, Christopher, William, Melvin Jr., and Rebecca 
  Reed, Katrina Reed, wife of William, Samantha and Morgan Dreer, and Pierce 
  Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Matthew, Jayden, William; one step-
  son, Robert H. Kosik Jr. of Kentucky; and two stepgrandchildren, Alexis and 
  Sierra Kosik. Surviving are four brothers, Leroy, husband of Claire Motter of 
  Myerstown, George Motter of Pine Grove, Edwin, husband of Mable Motter of 
  Adamstown, and David, husband of Phyllis Motter of Jonestown; two sisters, Edna 
  Breaithwaite of Cleona and Clara, wife of Paul Rowe of Linglestown; many nieces 
  and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Franklin, and Jacob 
  Motter; and three sisters, Florence Nye, Gertrude Lymaster, and Ella Kull. 
  Viewing hours Sunday evening from 5-8 at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 
  Ninth St., Lebanon, Pa., and Monday morning 10-11 at Countryside Christian 
  Community, 520 N. Route 934, Annville, Pa. Funeral services Monday at 11 a.m. 
  from the chapel at Countryside Christian Community. Interment at the 
  convenience of the family.
