Miller shabodeho@aol.com September 13, 2008, 10:49 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 09/04/08 Kraft, Mary Grace Mary Grace Kraft, 70, of Brookfield Road, Lancaster, Pa., died on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at Landis Homes after an extended illness. Born in Creston, Iowa, she was the wife of John L. Kraft for 42 years, and the daughter of the late Reverend Ronald R. and Susan Bachman Kratz. Mary Grace graduated from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill., and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center Nursing School, New York City. She worked as the head nurse in ICU with Lancaster General Hospital, and was a public health nurse for the Pennsylvania Department of Health. She also worked as a school nurse for the Ephrata Area School District. She is a Charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deaconess, and was the first church librarian. Mary Grace was a former board member of the Ephrata Public Library, and was a member of a National Education Association. She enjoyed travel, gardening, sewing, needlework and classical music. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Susan L., wife of Guy H. Hockerman, Kirkwood, Mo., and Ann B., wife of Sean Tweed, Lititz, Pa. She is also survived by a brother, David B. Kratz, husband of Mary Alice, Lancaster, Calif.; and a sister, Mildred E., wife of Neill H. Nutter, Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren, Mara F. Hockerman and Lucia L. Hockerman of Kirkwood, Mo., and Emma G. Tweed, Lititz, Pa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary Grace's funeral service at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, Pa., on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Michael A. Rogers and the Rev. Keith C. Irvine officiating. Interment will follow at the Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of service.
