Dorothea M. Lane, 87, died Monday, May 5, 2008, in the Tremont Health Center, Tremont. She was the wife of the late Melvin M. Lane, and had resided at 737 Kreider St., Lebanon. Born on May 29, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Stella George Boger. She was a graduate of GSH Nursing School, Lebanon. She was a retired R.N. from Cedar Haven, and was a first lieutenant U.S. Army nurse, having served during World War II in New Guinea and Southern Philippines. She was a member of Quentin United Church of Christ, Lebanon County Employee Association, Annville Legion, treasurer of GSH Nursing Alumni Association, Lebanon Chapter No. 115, Order of the Eastern Star, Lebanon County 50+, and BPW. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly A. Mitchell of Lebanon; and sons William A. Lane and Brian K., husband of Diane DeSicno Lane of West Chester; grandsons William A. Lane II of Harrisburg and Dillion L. Mitchell of Lebanon; brothers Paul, husband of Dot Boger of Quentin, and Russell, husband of Karen Boger of Indiana; and sisters Emma Phillips of Lebanon and Grace, wife of Carroll Kramer of Mt. Gretna. Services are Friday, May 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Taylor-Ruffner Funeral Home Inc., 712 Chestnut St., Lebanon. Viewing will be 10 a.m. until time of service.
