  John H. Lane Sr. LEBANON John H. Lane Sr., 71, 315 N. Fifth Street, Lebanon, 
  died Monday, January 7, 2008, in ManorCare, Lebanon. He was the husband of Anna 
  M. Steffy Lane. He was born in Schuylkill County on March 27, 1936, son of the 
  late John L. and Ella English Lane. He was a retired construction worker and 
  had worked part time in retail sales. He had owned John Lane Paving for 30 
  years. He was a former active fire fighter with the Washington Fire Co., 
  Lebanon, Pa., Forest Fire Crew and was a former Lebanon City Fire Police 
  captain. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Joseph R. Stuckey Jr. and 
  wife Wendy, Lebanon, Jay E. Lane and wife Kim, Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Tammy 
  L. Lane, Lebanon; six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and brother, 
  Harry Lane, Lebanon. He was preceded in death by son John H. Lane Jr.; brother 
  Edward Lane; sisters, Anna Lane and Joan Wagner. Memorial service Friday 
  evening 7 p.m. Rohland Funeral Home Inc., Fifth and Cumberland streets, 
  Lebanon, where friends will be received Friday beginning at 6 p.m. In lieu of 
  flowers, contributions may be made to the John Hopkins Liver Transplant 
  Research Fund, 2000 E. Monument St., Baltimore, MD 21205; or American Diabetes 
  Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 202, Harrisburg 17110
