Lange of the Ecumenical Home, Harrisburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Mrs. Lange was born on December 14, 1952, to the late Esther Keller Edris and Rufus B. Edris. She married Mark Harold Lange on March 9, 1974, who passed away in June 2002. Surviving are sisters Jane Aftosmes, wife of Peter Aftosmes of Palmyra, Shirley Snyder of Erie, Colo., Debbie Cornelius of Lebanon, and Audrey Geissel, wife of William Geissel of Crystal Lake, Ill. Also surviving are two brothers, Paul Edris of Sanford, Colo., and Galen Edris of Bethlehem; 14 nieces and nephews; and several great- nieces and great-nephews. A sister, Brenda Morrissey, preceded her in death. Mrs. Lange was a graduate of Northern Lebanon High School, Cushing Junior College and Barrington University. She and her husband resided in Illinois, where she retired from Golden Rule Insurance Company after 21 years of service. She then worked as a youth advocate for Cra-Wa-La Volunteers in probation. She was co-owner of MHL Consulting. She served as an election judge in Wabash County, on the boards of Lawrenceville Rotary Club, Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and Cra-Wa-La Volunteers in probation. She was a past president of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Lange also served on the Counseling and Information for Sexual Assault Advisory Board in Robinson, Illinois. She was a member of Midway Church of the Brethren. On Saturday, June 21, visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. at the Midway Church of the Brethren, with interment in the adjacent cemetery. Donations may be made to the Midway Church of the Brethren Deacon Fund in lieu of flowers. The Kreamer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 6/19/2008.
