Leahy, 90, of Lebanon died Sunday, February 3, 2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born December 13, 1917, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Irene M. Eldridge Gass. She was a member of Tabor United Church of Christ. She was employed as a clerk-typist for the Lebanon County Veteran Affairs Office, retiring in 1998 at the age of 80 after 30 years of service. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School and she enjoyed gardening, reading, music and traveling. She was a loyal supporter of Lebanon High School sporting and musical events. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and also enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Surviving are children Kay Hornberger, spouse of late Ronald Hornberger of Mt. Gretna, Linda Leedy, spouse of Kenneth Leedy of Lebanon, Jane Sanford, spouse of William Sanford of Camp Hill, Suzanne Kilmoyer, spouse of Bruce Kilmoyer of Lebanon, Michael Leahy of Lebanon, Clifford Leahy, spouse of Kimberly Leahy of Lebanon, and Scott Leahy of Harrisburg; grandchildren Kelly Harmony, Kim Guenthner, Tracey Hornberger, Gregory Leedy, David Leedy, Sharon Shingara, Richard Sanford, Maegan Leone, Bruce Kilmoyer, Beth Kilmoyer, Erin Penniston, Tessa Leahy, and Shannon Leahy; and 18 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Clifford J. Leahy on June 2, 1963, and two brothers and one sister. Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, February 6, 2008, from 10-11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Ebenezer "Covenant" Cemetery.
