  Barbara J. Lesnefsky MOUNT JOY Barbara J. Lesnefsky, 61, of 448 Orchard Road, 
  Mount Joy, was welcomed home by God on Monday, January 7, 2008, at Lancaster 
  General Hospital. She was married to Richard J. Lesnefsky for 42 wonderful 
  years. Barbara worked for the Engle Printing Company, Mount Joy, for 17 years, 
  retiring from the Landisville office in August of 2006. She was a member of 
  Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Mount Joy, and was a 1964 graduate of 
  Lebanon Catholic High School. A caring and giving person, Barbara enjoyed 
  helping others. She also enjoyed playing the piano, collecting sheet music and 
  the Golden Book Series of children's stories, playing cards, and gardening. 
  Above all, Barbara's favorite past time was her grandchildren, Mitchell, Emily, 
  and Erin, who put a gleam in her eye. Known as "Nana", she loved to have fun 
  and entertain them, always having a full schedule of activities planned when 
  they came to visit or sleep over. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of 
  Pauline Shearer Batdorf of Palmyra and the late Robert Batdorf. In addition to 
  her husband, Dick and mother Pauline, she will be lovingly remembered by her 
  twin daughters, Janelle, married to John Bitner, Elizabethtown, and Lynn, 
  married to Bill Stoner, Huron, Ohio; her grandchildren, Mitchell and Emily 
  Bitner, and Erin Stoner; and her sister, Nancy, married to Dennis Barnhart, 
  Hummelstown. Dick and family wish to express a "special thanks" to Dr. 
  Horenkamp, Dr. Eshleman, and their staff at the Lancaster General Hospital 
  Cancer Center for keeping Barbara's "quality of life" at its best. Relatives 
  and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Mary, Mother 
  of the Church Parish, 625 Union School Road, Mount Joy, on Saturday, January 
  12, 2008, at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Paul T. Rindos as celebrant. Final 
  commendation and farewell in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Friends may call at 
  the Sheetz Funeral Home, 16 E. Main St., Mount Joy, on Friday from 6 until 8 
  p.m. and again on Saturday at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish from 9 until 10 
  a.m. A Christian Prayer Service will be held at Sheetz Funeral Home Friday at 
  7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barbara's name may be 
  made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603; or to 
  Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 176044125.
