  Shirley Levine LEBANON Shirley Levine, 101, formerly of Clearview Drive, 
  Lebanon, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon. She was 
  preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, L. Michael Levine. Born in New 
  York City in 1906, Shirley was the daughter of the late Samuel and Yetta 
  Zlatchin, the sister of the late Phillip Zlatchin, and the grandmother of the 
  late Andrew Levine. She attended Cooper Union and Brooklyn colleges, and later 
  worked in customer service for Prentice-Hall. She is survived by her daughters 
  and sons-inlaw, Jane and Edward Alexander of Lebanon and Lois and Joe Malengo 
  of Corvallis, Ore.; and by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Phyllis Levine 
  of Ghent, N.Y. In addition to her children, she is survived by her 
  grandchildren, Sarah Alexander of Washington, D.C., David Alexander of Tampa, 
  Fla., Evan Levy of N.Y., N.Y., Teresa Malengo of Berkeley, Calif., Christina 
  Malengo of Portland, Ore., and Lisa Francisco of Berkeley, Calif.; and by her 
  many greatgrandchildren. Throughout her long life, Shirley loved to travel. She 
  was also an avid reader with strong interests in politics, gardening and 
  classical music. From age 82-89, she volunteered her services to the American 
  Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the 
  family, who will miss her greatly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions 
  may be made to The Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, 
  Myerstown, PA 17067; or to Spang Crest Manor, 945 Duke Street, Lebanon, PA 
  17042. Arrangements by Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services Inc.
