  Dorothy L. Lewison, 98, of Spang Crest Manor and formerly of Philadelphia, died 
  Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of 
  the late Henry Lewison. Born in Schaefferstown on Sept. 24, 1909, she was the 
  daughter of the late George H. and Agnes B. Landis Carpenter. She was a retired 
  Registered Nurse and was a graduate of the Kensington Hospital School of 
  Nursing in Philadelphia. She enjoyed traveling and playing Scrabble. She was a 
  former member of St. Petri Church in Philadelphia. She is survived by several 
  nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded 
  in death by brother George Carpenter and sisters Kathryn Yorty, Mae Leinninger 
  and Sara Livering. Memorial service Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. from Thompson 
  Funeral Home, 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. 
  Visitation hours Wednesday morning 11:30 at the funeral home.
