  Gary M. Light, 56, of 258 Eisenhower Road, Palmyra, passed away Thursday, May 
  8, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Diane M. 
  (Simmers) Light, to whom he was married for 31 years. Born June 5, 1951, in 
  Lebanon, he was a son of Helen E. (Hershey) Light of Lebanon, and the late 
  Marvin Y. Light. Gary was employed by UPS in Harrisburg as a diesel mechanic 
  for 28 years, and was a member of Teamsters Local 776. He enjoyed helping 
  friends and family with mechanical problems, and ideas for gardens and ponds. 
  Gary loved fishing and woodworking, and was an avid fan and member of the 
  National Hot Rod Association. His ever present and loving pet, Teddy, was 
  always by his side. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his 
  daughter, Melissa A. Rohrer, wife of Michael of Palmyra; grandchildren Tyler 
  James and Caylee Jayde; brother Richard Light, husband of Karen of Lickdale; 
  sisters Sandra Smith, wife of Henry, and Linda Kilgore, wife of Keith, all of 
  Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 
  celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 
  2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. 
  There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to 
  Relay for Life Team Dog's Dawgs, c/o Michael Simmers, PO Box 325, Cornwall, PA 
  17016; or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 East Brown Street, Suite 23, 
  Middletown, PA 17057.
