  Mildred E. Lofton, 82, of 467 Olde Meadow Lane, Lebanon, PA, formerly of 
  Philadelphia, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 in the Select Specialty Hospital, 
  Harrisburg, PA. She was born April 30, 1926 in Sheridan, PA, daughter of the 
  late Rev. William M. and Christa Belle Williams White. She was employed as a 
  professional administrative secretary and later retired as Senior Citizen 
  Coordinator at the Quentin United Church of Christ that was sponsored by the 
  Lebanon County Social Services. Mildred was a member of the St. John's African 
  Methodist Episcopal Church, Lebanon; she was retired Episcopal Supervisor for 
  the 10th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and 
  Episcopal P.M.E. Director of the First Episcopal District. She was a life 
  member of the Women's Missionary Society, African Methodist Episcopal Church; 
  Professional Secretary Association of Pennsylvania and former officer of Jones 
  Tabernacle Federal Credit Union. Mildred's devoted and loving husband, Jonathan 
  Cassell Lofton and beloved son, William Jonathan Lofton preceded her in death. 
  Mildred leaves to rejoice her wonderful life and legacy, two beloved daughters, 
  Rita Joyce Lofton; Patrica Ann Hardaway and son in law, Walter J. Hardaway; 
  three loving grandchildren Kenya daShawn Lofton, Jaime Cassell Hardaway and Joi 
  Noel Hardaway; two great grandchildren, Joelle Jaime Hardaway and August 
  Christian James Cassell Hardaway; brother, Charles White, Sr.; sister, Lois 
  Louise Norris; aunt, Genevieve Davis and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. 
  Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in Zion Iona United Methodist 
  Church, 1920 S. Fifth Ave., Lebanon, PA. Interment will be made in the 
  Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, Newmanstown. Viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 
  8:00 PM and Saturday from 9 to 10:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, 
  contributions may be made to the Mildred Lofton Presidential Scholarship, c/o 
  Wilberforce University, 1055 North Bickett Road, Wilberforce, OH 45384. Rohland 
  Funeral Home, Inc. of Lebanon, PA is handling the arrangements.
