  Effie M. Longenecker, 94, of 103 N. Larkspur Drive, Palmyra, died Saturday, 
  September 6, 2008, in Columbia Cottage, Palmyra. She was the wife of the late 
  Elwood C. "Jack" Longenecker, who died in 2005. Born in Midway, Pa., on May 4, 
  1914, she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Almeda Engle Bleistein. Effie 
  was sewing machine operator for Colebrook Terry Lingerie, and a graduate of 
  Lebanon High School. Surviving are a daughter, Carol, wife of Robert Derr of 
  Palmyra; and two sons, Robert M. Longenecker of Palmyra and Carl A. Longenecker 
  of Grantville; a sister, Kathryn McClymont of Cleona; nine grandchildren; 17 
  great grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in 
  death by two brothers, Charles Yeager and Irvin "Sonny" Snyder. Services will 
  be held at the convenience of the family, with inurnment in Gravel Hill 
  Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart 
  Association, P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042. Kreamer Funeral Home and 
  Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
