  Esther B. Longenecker ANNVILLE Esther Bowman Longenecker, 95, died on Thursday, 
  March 27, 2008, in Kindred Place of Annville. She was the wife of the late 
  Jacob G. Longenecker. She was born on August 30, 1912, in Palmyra to Levi and 
  Anna Heide Bowman. She retired from the wrapping department of Hershey Foods 
  after 32 years of service. She is a member of the Ono United Methodist Church, 
  where she was active with their Faith Fellowship. She enjoyed gardening, 
  reading and crocheting. Surviving are her daughter, Lucille L. Strickler of 
  Annville; 11 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; nine greatgreat-
  grandchildren; sisters Elsie Pyles and Helen Dell, both of Lebanon, and Bertha 
  Carbaugh of Palmyra. Her son, Richard F. Longenecker; brother Roy Bowman; and 
  sisters Fannie Albert, Amanda Dicus and Dora Swalm, precedes her in death. A 
  private burial will be in the S. Bellegrove Cemetery, N. Annville Township, 
  Lebanon County. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on 
  Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 10:30 at the Ono United Methodist Church with the 
  Rev. Daniel Hall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 
  given to the Ono United Methodist Church, PO Box 126, Ono, PA 17077; or to 
  Kindred Place, One Kindred Place, Annville, PA 17003. Rothermel Funeral Home 
  Inc. is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
