  John W. Lowry Sr. MANHEIM John W. Lowry Sr., 79, of 233 Maple Ave., Manheim, 
  died Sunday, February 10, 2008, in the Hospice of Lancaster County. He was the 
  husband of Jean Grahman Lowry. He was born June 6, 1928, in West Hempfield 
  Twp., Lancaster County, a son of the late James and Matilda Schmitt Lowry. He 
  was employed for over 25 years with Mushroom Transportation as a mechanic and 
  jockey. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Kleinfeltersville, and a 
  was a member of Naughty Pines Hunting Camp, Sullivan County; and the 
  Brotherhood of Teamsters #771. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy 
  during the Korean War, and enjoyed boating and fishing. Surviving in addition 
  to his wife are children, Sandra Allen, wife of Richard Allen, Mt. Joy; John 
  Lowry Jr., husband of Pamela Lowry, Ephrata; and Douglas Lowry, husband of 
  Sandra Lowry, Lititz; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, 
  Thomas Lowry and Robert Lowry; and sisters, Louise Lowry and Patricia Lowry. He 
  was preceded in death by brothers, James, Leroy and Kenneth Lowry, and a 
  sister, Matilda "Dew" Goodnow. Memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7 
  p.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church, Kleinfeltersville. Family and 
  friends are invited following the service to a gathering at the church. In lieu 
  of flowers, contributions may be made to his church at P.O. Box 7, 
  Kleinfeltersville, PA 17039, or the Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good 
  Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601. Clauser Funeral Home Inc. is handling the 
  arrangements.
