  George B. Lukens Sr., 82, of Lebanon, Pa., died Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 
  at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, Pa. He was the husband of Margaret P. 
  (Blantz) Lukens, to whom he was married 60 years on August 14. Born in 
  Harrisburg, Pa., on May 21, 1926, he was the son of the late Asahel D. and 
  Lydia (Bates) Lukens. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was 
  employed as a cook at the former Treadway Inn, Lebanon, Pa., for many years, 
  before becoming a cook at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., retiring in 
  1988. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Lebanon, Pa., the 
  Lickdale American Legion Post 910, and was a former Boy Scout leader of Troop 
  631. He enjoyed bingo and playing cards. In addition to his wife, he is 
  survived by sons George B. Jr., husband of Maria Lukens of Vacville, 
  California, Asahel D., husband of Barbara Lukens of Jonestown, Pa., Randy K. 
  Lukens of Portland, Oregon, Kirk A. Lukens of Lebanon, Pa., and Scott L. Sr., 
  husband of Bridgett Lukens of Cornwall, Pa.; six grandchildren; and six great-
  grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 11 
  a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. Viewing 
  Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, Pa. In lieu 
  of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 
  P.O. Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042.
