  Royce C. Mader, 94, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of East Lehman 
  Street, Lebanon, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in the village. He was born 
  June 12, 1914, in Lebanon, son of the late George D. and Lillian M. Gettle 
  Mader. He was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and a U.S. 
  Navy veteran of World War II. He was the retired owner/operator of the Mader 
  Furniture Store for 40 years. He was a member and past master of the Mt. Olivet 
  Lodge No. 704 F&AM and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was an associate member 
  of the Fraternal Order of Police. Surviving are children Royce C. Mader Jr., 
  spouse of Joanne Mader of Lebanon, David G., spouse of Carol Mader of 
  Myerstown, Penelope, spouse of George Dodson of Lebanon, Jonathan P., spouse of 
  Cynthia Mader of Schaefferstown, and Paul Mader of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; 
  nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded 
  in death by wife Pauline M. Heverling Mader on March 4, 1981, and siblings 
  Beatrice Schock, Lillian Kleiser, Madge Zimmerman, Dorothy L. Hollinger, and 
  George David Mader. Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 2008, from 
  10-11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, 
  followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park.
