Marks, 84, formerly of Schuylkill County, Pa., and Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon, Pa., died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, Pa. Born in Schuylkill County, Pa., on May 29, 1924, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Lehman) Marks. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and had been selfemployed in the junkyard business in Llewellyn, Pa., for many years. He was a member of the Pottsville American Legion, Intent Goodwill Fire co. of Llewellyn, Pa., Pottsville VFW, and the Minersville American Legion. He is survived by a daughter, Beverly of Pottsville, Pa.; and a son, William F. Marks Jr. of Schuylkill County, Pa.; sisters Betty L. Morgan of Lebanon, Pa., Helen Wetzel of Florida, and Shirley Watcher of Pottsville, Pa.; a friend, Leroy R. Miller of Lebanon, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Edna Watcher and Catherine Unell, and brothers Francis and Alfred Marks. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Pa. Viewing Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Taylor-Ruffner Funeral Home Inc., 712 Chestnut Street, Lebanon, PA 17042.
