Martin, 76, of Lititz entered into rest at his residence on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Born in East Earl Township, he was the son of the late John Z. and Magdalena (Sauder) Martin. He was married to Vera (Zimmerman) Good Martin, having celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this past February 26th. A farmer, he was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. Besides his wife, David is survived by his children, David Lamar, husband of Dolores (Seibel) Martin of Ephrata, Glen Richard, husband of Michele (Martin) Martin of Lititz, Carl Eugene, husband of Anita (Stauffer) Martin of Reinholds, Doris Jean, wife of Lester Martin of Wisconsin, Leonard, husband of Ruth (Martin) Good of Iowa, and Edward, husband of Joyce (Martin) Good of Missouri; three brothers, Amos, husband of Barbara Martin of Ephrata, Clayton, husband of Rachel Martin of Lititz, and Samuel, husband of Ella Martin of Stevens; 33 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife Alda (Hackert) Martin in 1966; a daughter, Marion, in 1955; and siblings Christian S. Martin, John S. Martin, Anna S. Hoover and Elisabeth Martin. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 13th, at the Farm Crest Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 1100 Farm Crest Drive, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2008, at the Farm Crest Chapel, with further services being held at 9:30 a.m. from the Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference), with Bishop Lester B. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
