  Derek F. Martin, 22, of Tennessee died Sunday, June 22, 2008, as a result of an 
  automobile accident in Jackson Township, Lebanon County. He was born in 
  Reading, Pa., on June 4, 1986, son of Betsy Long Martin Hunsicker of Lebanon, 
  and the late Marlin Ray Martin Sr. He attended Tulpehocken High School. Derek 
  was serving as a private in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, currently 
  assigned to Company D, 228th Brigade Support Battalion, Pine Grove, Pa., in the 
  vehicle recovery section as a mechanic. He was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C., 
  Hamlin. Derek enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving in addition to his mother 
  are a sister, Jolene Martin of Rehrersburg; brother Marlin Ray Martin Jr. of 
  Lebanon; maternal grandparents Donald and Marie Batz of Tennessee; paternal 
  grandparents Leroy and Edith Martin of Myerstown. Funeral service will be held 
  Friday at 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland St., 
  Lebanon. Viewing will be held Thursday 7 - 9 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. until the 
  time of the service at the funeral home.
