  Martin Jr., Earl   
   
  Earl Martin Jr. of Myerstown, Pa., went to be with the Lord on November 28, 
  2008, at the age of 87 years. He died of natural causes at the home of his son 
  at 50 Green Pastures Lane, Mifflin, Pa. Born on January 25, 1921, in 
  Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late J.D. Earl and Edna Grace 
  (Cunningham) Martin. He was the faithful and loving husband of the late Mary 
  Louise (Shank) Martin for over 57 years. He was the supportive father of four 
  children, Gwen, wife of David Witmer of Reamstown, Pa., Dennis, married to 
  Jeanne (Hess) of Myerstown, Pa., Don, married to Mildred (McGrath), of Mifflin, 
  Pa., and Rhoda, wife of Eugene Martin of Ephrata, Pa. He greatly enjoyed his 23 
  grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; he is also survived by two sisters, 
  Margaret Gehman and Betty Marie Kniss, both of Harrisonburg, Va. He was also 
  preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother, Donald Martin of 
  Hagerstown, Md. A carpenter by trade and a beloved friend to all, Earl was a 
  member of Swatara Mennonite Church. Grandpa Martin, who lived his faith in 
  daily life, was an example and encouragement to his whole family and a blessing 
  to many. Viewing will be Tuesday, December 2, at Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 
  Swatara Road (Route 645), Myerstown, from 5-8 p.m., and from 9-10 a.m. on 
  Wednesday, December 3, preceding the funeral service at 10 a.m., also at 
  Swatara Mennonite Church. Interment to follow at Meckville Mennonite Church 
  Cemetery. Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown, is in charge of 
  the arrangements.
