Rosebud Road, Myerstown, died Friday, November 14, 2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Laura R. Hoover Martin, with whom he was married to for 51 years. He was born August 8, 1935, in New Holland, a son of the late Edwin N. and Anna M. Horst Martin. He was owner of the Henry H. Martin Trucking Inc., Martin's U-Store and J.H.R. Trucking of Myerstown. He was a former employee of Framer Boy Ag Inc. of Myerstown. Henry was a member of Mt. Zion Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference. Surviving in addition to his wife are children Raymond H. Martin of Reading, Leon H., husband of Debbie Rittle Martin of Myerstown, Clair H., husband of Lisa Goshert Martin of Bethel, Louise H., wife of Edwin Hoover Jr. of Denver, Ella Mae, wife of David Zimmerman of Reinholds, Jay Henry Martin of Bethel; grandchildren Joel, Emily, Brooke, Justin, Julie, JoElla, Samantha, Jennifer, Laura, Alex and Michael; sisters Nora, wife of Abram Rissler of Barnett, Mo., Anna Oberholtzer of Leola, Elva Martin of Barnett, Mo., Alta, wife of David Hoover of Ephrata, Ruth Martin of New Holland; brothers Edwin Martin of New Holland, Melvin, husband of Lena Martin of New Holland. He was preceded in death by brothers Ervin and Mahlon Martin; sisters Martha Hurst, Mabel Hoover and Miriam Leid. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Deep Run Road, Myerstown, with the interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, Jackson Road, Lebanon. Please omit flowers.
