  Massar, Thelma Hornickell   
   
  Thelma Hornickell Massar, 85 years, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital on Dec. 
  27, 2008. Formerly of 534 Cumberland St., now of 101 Hearthstone Lane, Lebanon. 
  The widow of Stephen J. Massar, Dec. 8, 1997. Thelma was born in Lebanon on 
  April 11, 1923, the daughter of Charles W. and Verla R. Pittenger Hornickell. A 
  1941 graduate of LHS. She owned the Hornickell Corset and Surgical Shop on 
  Cumberland Street until 1982. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Woman 
  of E.L.C.A. of the church, the Lebanon YMCA, Holiday for Homemakers, Lebanon 
  Flower Club, The GSH Auxiliary, Lebanon, and Cleona Senior Centers. Survived by 
  a daughter, Linda C., wife of Robert Rogers of Lancaster, Pa.; a son, James I., 
  husband of Sherry Massar of Hesperia, Calif.; four grandchildren; four 
  greatgrandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday, 
  Jan. 3, 2009, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow 
  in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Holy Trinity 
  Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Arrangements by 
  TaylorRuffner Funeral Home Inc., 712 Chestnut St., Lebanon.
