Mease, 76, of 2210 Lehman Street, Lebanon, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. He was the husband of Bernice B. Peffley Mease, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past April. Born in Lebanon County on July 31, 1932, he was the son of the late Walter R. and Emma M. Allwein Mease. He worked for 30 years in xray and weld dressing for Quaker Alloy, and retired in 1995 from Foodland. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Lebanon, where he was sexton for 17 1/2 years, and attended Kochenderfer's United Methodist Church, Lebanon. Jim was a member of the National and Pennsylvania Dutch Region Antique Automobile Club of America, the Friendship Fire Company, and the United Steelworkers of America; a former member of the Annville and Cleona senior citizens. He served on the West Lebanon Township Zoning Hearing Board, and collected Scale Model Cars. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Brenda L., wife of Edwin G. Milovich of Lebanon, and Melanie A., wife of Timothy L. Himmelberger of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Faith E., wife of Jason M. Williams of Lebanon, and Joshua A., Himmelberger of Middletown, Conn.; and two great-grandchildren, Luke A. and Jack A. Williams; a brother, LeRoy A. Mease of Lebanon; and two sisters, Gertrude, wife of George Herb of Hamilton, Ohio, and Virginia, wife of Terrance Knapp of Fredericksburg. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Moyer and Paul and John Mease; and two sisters, Gladys Mease and Thelma Mease Royer. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Friday from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke's U.M.
