  Evelyn C. Yantz Merkey, 93, of 945 Duke St., Lebanon, died Friday, May 16, 
  2008, in Spang Crest Manor. She was born December 14, 1914, in Lebanon, 
  daughter of the late Irwin and Emma Pyles Zimmerman. She was a member of the 
  Lebanon Moravian Church. She had worked for many families as a house keeper. 
  She was active in her church, and for many years enjoyed CB radio. Surviving 
  are children Donald, spouse of Wilma Yantz of Springfield, Oregon, Dale, spouse 
  of Judy Yantz of Lebanon; grandchildren Michelle Thorn of Keizer, Oregon, 
  Lynette Wittmayer of Prineville, Oregon, Danny Yantz of Las Cruces, New Mexico, 
  Denise Lawrence of Ovilla, Texas, Diane Toennes and Heather Laughlin of 
  Lebanon, Stephanie Poore, David Yantz, Ralph Yantz and Abigail Seder of 
  Warminster; 16 great grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren; and 
  daughter-in-law Barbara Yantz of Warminster. She was preceded in death by 
  husbands Walter C. Yantz on Aug. 13, 1980, and Lloyd S. Merkey on Aug. 11, 
  1984; children Catherine Yantz, Harold T. Yantz and Ralph Yantz; and siblings 
  Charles Zimmerman, Harold Zimmerman and Elizabeth Peiffer. Viewing is scheduled 
  for Tuesday, May 20, 2008, from 7-8 p.m. in Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 
  Cumberland St., Lebanon. Services on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Moravian 
  Church, 1115 Birch Road, Lebanon, preceded by viewing at 9 a.m. Interment in 
  Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to her church.
