  Jewell B. Messimer, 84, of East Cherry Street, Palmyra, died Tuesday, August 
  26, 2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born September 29, 1923, in 
  Saint Paul, Minnesota, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Alice Marie 
  (Campbell) Baker. She was the widow of Lewis E. Messimer Sr., a member of 
  Campbelltown United Methodist Church, and an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. 
  Surviving are her children, Charles H. Messimer of Annville, Darlene J. Becker 
  of Millsboro, Delaware, and Lewis E. Messimer Jr. of Hershey; eight 
  grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren. 
  Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008, at Buse Funeral 
  Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra, preceded by a viewing from 12 p.m. 
  Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
  contributions may be made to the Campbelltown United Methodist Church, PO Box
