Meyer, Jonas M. Jonas M. Meyer ANNVILLE Jonas M. Meyer, 86, of 520 N. Route 934, Cottage No. 17, Countryside Christian Community (previously the United Christian Home), Annville, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Rhoda M. Lehman FunckMeyer and the late Ruth Smith Meyer. Born in Fredericksburg on March 19, 1921, he was the son of the late Samuel G. and Elizabeth Miller Meyer. Jonas was a self-employed poultry man in Annville RD 2, and also a self-employed carpenter. He was a graduate of Fredericksburg High School Class of 1938, a member of North Annville Bible Church, Charter member of the Ono Fire Company, served on the Northern Lebanon School District Board of Directors for 13 years; he enjoyed woodworking, caning chairs, hunting, antiquing, golfing, and especially attending the Chat and Chew Socials at the home. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Robert G. Meyer of Troutville, Va., James L. Meyer of Suttercreek, Calif., David L. Meyer of Greenville, Va., and Ronald J. Meyer of Annville; Rhoda's children Larry L. Funck of Wheaton, Ill., and Diane M. Keller of Bethlehem; 15 grandchildren; and 17 greatgrandchildren; three brothers, Raymond Meyer of Lebanon, Samuel Meyer of Salem, Va., and Matthew Meyer of Huntly, Illinois; and a sister Marian, wife of the Rev. Walter Shell of Williamsport. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ammon B. and Nathan M. Meyer; and a sister Leah K. Meyer. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. from the North Annville Bible Church, 4590 Hill Church Road, Annville. Interment in Ono Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideon's International, P.O. Box 403, Lebanon, PA 17042.
