Gary Jon Milgate, age 66, beloved husband of Rosemary Wenzler Milgate, lost his battle with cancer Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Born April 28, 1941, in Dennison, Ohio, he was the son of John F. and Jewel Braun Milgate. He graduated from Uhrichsville High school, Uhrichsville, Ohio, with the class of 1959. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, from which he graduated with the class of 1963. Lt. Col. Milgate served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and remained active with the Pennsylvania National Guard 28th Division and the Army Reserve until his retirement. He was also retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, Harrisburg, Pa. Most recently, he was an on call driver for Caron Foundation, Wernersville, Pa. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lebanon, Pa. Gary loved theater, jazz, travel and cruises. He and Rosemary traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Caribbean. Gary also enjoyed deer hunting in Tioga County, and taking his grandchildren there for summer Camp Cousin. His greatest joy and comfort was his family. In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by daughter Rosemary Jones, wife of Robert Jones of Lebanon, Pa., Dr. Susan Kuczura, wife of Michael Kuczura of New Hope, Pa.; grandchildren Benjamin Jones, Noah Jones, Sydney Kuczura and Michael John Kuczura; sister Mary Lu Twill of Anaheim, Calif.; and a niece and nephew. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and great friend. Visitation will be at Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, Pa., on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
