  Mitchell, Robert Jay Crescent City, Fla. - Robert Jay Mitchell, 53, of Crescent 
  City, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 24, 2008 in Central Valley, N.Y. 
  Rod was born in Reading, Pa., the son of the late George E. and Lillian A. 
  Mitchell. He was co-owner of Eagles Nest Grove in Crescent City and also worked 
  for KTA-Tator, Inc. Rod enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a knack for making 
  friends wherever he went. He is survived by his brother, George Mitchell of 
  Palatka, Fla., and two sisters, Beth Disque of Schenectady, N.Y. and Gloria 
  Rege of Dallas, Texas. His business partner, Mary Lynn Mitchell of Crescent 
  City; a cherished little boy, Anthony Tanner of Palm Coast, Fla.; and several 
  nieces and nephews also survive him. Family and friends are invited to a 
  remembrance service at 12 o'clock noon on December 2 at Eagle's Nest Grove in 
  Crescent City. Memorial donations in Robert's name may be made to the American 
  Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
