  Mary E. Murphy, 85, of Lebanon died Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Cedar 
  Haven Nursing Home. Born December 13, 1923, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of 
  the late John W. and Mary E. Hartnett Murphy. She was a retired teacher for the 
  Lebanon School District and the Diocese of Harrisburg. She was the first 
  elementary school teacher at the former St. Mary's School. She was a member of 
  St. Cecilia's Church, Lebanon. She was the last of her immediate family. She 
  was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Edward F. and John J. Murphy. 
  Funeral Mass Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman St., 
  Lebanon. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Monday 10-11 a.m. at 
  the church. Memorial contributions to Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice, 202 
  Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 17042. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon, is in 
  charge of arrangements.
