  Geraldine M. Nehring, 87, Cornwall Manor, and formerly of Philadelphia, died 
  Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Cornwall Manor. She was the wife of the late John F. 
  Nehring. Born in Rexmont, Pa.., on September 21, 1920, she was the daughter of 
  the late Ellsworth and Lottie Shutter Carpenter. She was a retired registered 
  nurse at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia for over 30 years, and a volunteer 
  nurse with the Red Cross. She was a graduate of Cornwall High School and the 
  Nursing School of Methodist Hospital, Philadelphia. Surviving are two sons, 
  John (Susie) Nehring of Tavares, Fla., and Robert (Kay) Nehring of Moorestown, 
  N.J.; two sisters, Emmaline Miller of Lebanon and Marion Kantz of Orlando, 
  Fla.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and 
  nephews. Funeral services Thursday at 11 a.m. from Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 
  126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon. Interment at Cornwall Cemetery. Viewing hours 
  Thursday morning from 10-11 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, 
  contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Cornwall Manor, PO Box 125, 
  Cornwall, PA 17016.
