Palmasani, 83, of 149 Rosewood Lane, Rainsville, Ala. died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Jimmie J. Barber Palmasani. Born April 1, 1925 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace Doria Palmasani. He retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years having served during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Jonestown American Legion and enjoyed traveling. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Lebanon, PA. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 children: Carla J., wife of Randy Strobel, and Frank T., husband of Lorna Palmasani. 6 grandchildren: Angela, wife of David Fox, Ann Palmasani, Anthony Palmasani, Thomas husband of Jessica Strobel, Frank Palmasani, and Jaren Palmasani. 4 great grandchildren. 2 sisters: Lena Bartocci and Josephine Cascio. 2 brothers: Santa Palmasani and Michael I. Palmasani. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded by Rev. Anthony Palmasani, Martin Palmasani, Esther Pricci, Anne Palmasani, and Mary Ann Palmasani. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Tuesday evening from 6-8 and Wednesday morning from 10-10:30 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon.
